A plane crashed landed today at Heathrow airport. Although there were no deaths, approximately 17 people were injured. More after the jump

The incident happened earlier today. Passengers claim the flight was going fine until it came time to land. The landing gear came down without problems but later buckled when the plane landed. Investigators believe this happened because of the nature of the landing. Eyewitnesses say that the plane looked as if it was coming down too low. The plane undershot the runway and landed in a field of grass not too far away from the target. Passengers said they had no idea what was going on and were not aware of the extent of the damage until they got off the plane. It was at that point that they noticed one of the wings was mangled.

An investigation to find the cause of the accident is currently underway. Early reports suggest the plane lost power during landing and the pilot had to glide the plane in.
