Whitney Stump, criminal, arrested for criminal mischief.
In the most vulgar, dare I say it, heinous of crimes, Whitney Stump took it upon himself to paint a crosswalk at an intersection.
Alas! Details and more after the jump.
Tired of drivers ignoring the stop signs at a busy intersection near his home, Stump decided to take action in his own hands and paint a crosswalk.
Fortunately, law enforcement was quick to pounce on the painting perpetrator, before he could make any other roads safer. He spent 10 hours in jail for criminal mischief.
Previously, he had called the city multiple times to request a crosswalk, but the city replied that since the intersection was not near a school, it was not necessary.
The scene of the heinous act!
You would think the police officers of Muncie, Indiana would have better things to do with their time than arrest people trying to make intersections and roads safer. But it’s pretty obvious they don’t. He was charged a second time when he was touching up the paint job, by a county prosecutor, unbeknownst to him. It doesn’t seem to phase our fair criminal, as he plans to maliciously paint 3 more crosswalks to fill out the intersection. The public outcry against his actions has been great, obviously. We can’t have criminals like this roaming our streets, painting safety features on the roads! The war on drugs needs to be postponed for the war on self-starting crosswalk painters.
