Trying to kill some weeds with fire? Make sure you don’t get too close to your house. Kind of like what this guy did.

On Tuesday, an Arizona man tried to kill the weeds around his home by burning them with a weed burner. Then man didn’t think twice of where the weeds were and decided to burn some that were really close to his house. Instead of killing the weeds, sparks from the machine got under the house, went up the chimney, and started a fire in the attic, burning down the house. That’s quite a bit of a trip for a spark to make.

To make it even better, the guy decided to put the blaze off on his own but failed. He called the fire department shortly after. The man was able to save his cat though. At least it wasn’t a total loss.
