Chinese building blocks designed to help kids learn English.
An armet is a two-piece helmet from 15th century with a moveable facemask. A navvy is apparently a steam-shovel. Coler sounds like a bastardization of koala, but maybe it is Australian English. Gee, I don’t know.
I’m not sure what version of English is being taught with these blocks, but’s it’s hilarious! Have you ever ridden a “Gee” or sailed on a “Jalor”? What are these words? When I see the word “Mob,” I envision several angry people, not a turtle. But that’s me, and that’s just how I was raised. The founding fathers would have never feared “mob rule” if they had known that mobs were just adorable little turtles.
Lot’s more hilarious pictures and commentary at Peer-See.
