Apparently they were not the “sharpest”

Reuters is reporting that Shaper Image, a producer of various inessential gadgetry and electronics is filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy because of three straight years of losses. You might know them from the famous “Ionic Breeze air purifiers”, which for $450 apparently might have caused lung damage. Ouch. That led to a few lawsuits, which apparently led to significant monetary losses. Who knew selling a $450 dollar air purifier that emitted dangerous levels of ozone might be a financially bad decision? We aren’t viewing this decision with glee, we just want to see less overpriced products when we peruse our Skymall catalog, obviously the best way to shop high… [in the sky of course]. Excuse me while I purchase another hot-dog “cooker” toaster for the low, low price of $49.95, clearly better than something like Sharper Image’s $70 moving tie rack any day.
