The San Antonio Express-News newspaper has released an apologetic notice for accidentally labeling the wrong man as a murder suspect. Their story had a photograph of a San Antonio man who was not connected in any way with the murder. It was published on page “1A”, which means that this man’s face was plastered prominently.
The newspaper had this to say: “The Express-News also apologizes to the misidentified man, his family and friends and to our readers.”
Well gee thanks, so nice! Would have been nicer not to ever mix up the pictures though… especially considering the murder was especially brutal (murder by machete). I hope the newspaper at least sends a gift basket with a nice supple piece of ham or something to make ammends. It’s the least they could do.
