Apparently a lot of alcohol can have negative effects.
Two Lawrence University (Wisconsin) students caused uproar when they were found unconscious in a restroom, prompting someone to call the fire department. Excessive, anyone?
After a night of crazy partying, the two young men fell asleep in a dorm’s communal bathroom. When someone found the students, they called the fire department thinking they were unconscious because some kind of gas. Officials evacuated the dormitory, leaving many students out in the cold. Firefighters arrived wearing self-contained breathing masks, like those worn during fires, but by that point the students were conscious. Apparently this whole procedure is “It’s a standard precaution in instances where more than one person is reported unconscious”
Is it just me or is this an overreaction? I wonder what they do after a group of people fall asleep together after partying. Maybe they set up a temporary hospital in a parking lot and seal off the entire building. What a waste of taxpayer money. Should the two students be held accountable for the costs?
