Hopefully your surgeon knows what procedure you need

In one story that really stinks, a 78-year-old German woman recently experienced a horrible medical mix-up. Going to the hospital in order to have surgery on her leg, the Hochfranken-Klinik in Germany instead gave her an artificial anus. She plans to file a lawsuit, and still needs knee surgery (we assume she’ll be going to a different hospital…). Some of the surgical team has been punished, but this incident is just one of thousands of medical mistakes that happen each year.
