It sounds like a book or movie plot, but police in Italy have released footage concerning a thief who is using hypnosis to rob store cashiers and banks blind. The thief has already hit several stores, and the last thing staff ever remember is the thief saying, “look into my eyes”, before finding out they have an empty register. We wouldn’t believe it if it were not on BBC News, and actually we are still skeptical. Even with the video footage, shown below.

This is video of the man charming a supermarket checkout employee of plenty of small bills.

One female bank clerk who was previously suckered by this man handed over 800 euros without question, and claimed to have no memory of the incident in question. She didn’t even realize what happened until she saw that money was missing. That’s the story all the robbed cashiers have shared.

Apparently this guy is really good at hypnosis, or he has a wide range of accomplices. We still think hypnosis is bunk though, but if the man charms his way out of a conviction we will be fully convinced otherwise!
