If you don’t know what “rickrolling” is, well… here’s some exclusive video of Lindsay Lohan doing crack. “Rickrolling” has been an internet phenomenon, in which people trying to click on link expecting one thing are instead taken to Rick Astley’s catchy music video for “Never Gonna Give You Up.” Judging by the 7.5 million views on just one version of the video many people have fallen victim. Well the LA Times “Web Scout” blog has complied some the thoughts and words of Rick Astley in a recent post.

Rick Astley first heard about Rickrolling from his friends and Youtube before discovering it for himself. He called it a little weird to have videos on the internet of himself as a young man, as he is over 40 now.

Astley stated that “I think it’s just one of those odd things where something gets picked up and people run with it. But that’s what brilliant about the Internet.” According to him though, he considers the song a little “naff” (British for “cheesy”) and is pretty puzzled by the internet meme.

We admit, we kind of like the song. It’s catchy, and the music video is great if only because of the horrible dancing, all denim outfits, and the fact that it is amazing that such a voice comes from such a scrawny looking guy. Astley seems to be a real decent guy, and his final words on the subject was that he hoped his daughter would not be embarrassed about it.
