News blurb: .06 of an inch costs 3M $700,000

3M Busted
It takes tremendous “genius” to come up with a graphic like this

3M Company, makers of tape, tape products, and tape accessories (did we mention they do tape stuff?), has agreed to pay $700,000 to settle a case in Fresno County. 3M was caught selling tape that measured only 0.94 of an inch as “1-inch use” tape. The inhumane and sadistic nature of this crime will cost 3M nearly a million dollars, as it obviously should. You can’t just tape up the damage caused to thousands of innocent and unknowing consumers! That 6 percent difference matters!
