Danny and Dana McNamee from South Bend, Indiana were arrested on Friday after Dana’s 4-year-old son was found to have a bag of marijuana in his pocket. Day care workers were the first to discover the drugs after they found a baggie with questionable green contents. They immediately called police who tested the substance and found it was drugs.
The Metro Special Operations Section is now investigating the matter. The child’s mother was arrested and charged with dealing and possessing marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance, whatever that means, and child neglect. The boy’s uncle was arrested for visiting a common nuisance.
If you think about it, keeping drugs with the kid isn’t that bad of an idea because chances are you won’t lose the kid so in effect you’ll never lose track of the drugs, right? Wrong. In reality, chances are the mother hid the drugs in the child’s clothes beforehand and unknowingly dressed the child in the clothes, at least that’s what we’re hoping instead of the mother knowing putting them there. At least this kid is out of this home because by the looks of it, marijuana might be the least harmful of the drugs these people use.
