Be cautious of name-calling. You never know what might happen.

Today’s weird headline comes to us from Scotland where a woman decided to bite off a piece of a man’s ear. Her reason for doing so could be anything though. Perhaps he was trying to force himself on her and she was trying to protect herself but that wasn’t the case at all. This whole fiasco occurred after a man called a woman fat and she responded by biting him.

Anna Martin and Nicholas Dott met at a nightclub in Glasgow a few months ago. Things apparently got hot between the two so they decided to call it a night and spend the night together at a hotel. Nicholas got cold feet soon after walking into the room and decided to leave, causing an argument that resulted in Nicholas calling Anna fat and Anna biting him in response. We’re thinking Anna asked Nicholas why he changed his mind and he said something ridiculous like “I hadn’t noticed how fat you were until we got under brighter light.” How else could he have put it to make her angry enough to bite him?

At some point the couple left their room because the what happened next was caught on close circuit tv. Anna ran at Nicholas and sank her teeth into his ear, apparently leaving him “badly disfigured”. He was probably being a drama queen. The cops were called and Nicholas was rushed to the hospital where the piece of his ear was reattached. Surprisingly, the piece later came off again and Dott will most likely require plastic surgery to fix the ear. What’s Anna’s punishment because of this? She’s getting away with two years’ probabation.

For one, Nicholas should have known better than resort to name calling. Chances are he was out at a nightclub because he was on the prowl so we know all he wanted was a “good” night. Also, he had spent time with the woman so he knew what he was getting in to, so why in heaven’s sake did he decide to be a jerk. We can’t put all the blame on him though. Who in their right mind bites people, especially on their ears. Of course at this point we remind you of the Tyson and Holyfield fight of 1997 where Tyson, being a sore loser, bit both of Holyfield’s ears. Anyway, word to the wise, if you’re with a total stranger in an isolated place, keep the name calling to a minimum. You never know what the other person is capable of.
