Boy banned because of his ugly haircut
Everyone knows that nursery school is serious business, and children in them need to look and act professional at all times. Because of this, we aren’t surprised that the Riverside Primary School in England recently banned a 3-year-old for his flagrant disregard of common decorum in choosing a “trendy” tramline haircut.
Travis Cook picked out his haircut himself, immediately choosing the “tramline” haircut after seeing a wall of pictures of haircuts. Unfortunately for Donna Cook and her son, such a haircut apparently breaks the rules at the school Travis attends. Only an hour after dropping of Travis, Mrs. Cook was called and asked to pick up Travis because of his haircut. He’s been banned until the hair grows back.
We of course think this is ridiculously silly. But if you break the rules, you’ll get punished, no matter how silly or stupid the rule might be. Welcome to the real world kid. According to his mom, Travis was “in floods of tears” over the matter. We guess that’ll show him never to get a tramline haircut again. They are pretty ugly after all.

ok. why is this only brought to light when this happens to a younger child? I was suspended at junior school for having designs similar to this in my hair, yet the school didnt see my point of view?
At Senior school, i was internally excluded for the exact same thing, until the lines had faded out. This took 2 weeks. what i do not understand is why are we not aloud designs like this? i understand that if tramlines are put in dis-tastefully or they are not done professionally why action should be taken against the pupil. But as seen above, this is not ? Why are disciplinary action taken against hair styles. i dont see people with extremely long hair excluded or suspended? There should be action taken if the child cannot see due to “too much” hair , or if a thick layer is vcovering his/her hair?
Tram lines are desgins cut into the hair and are not obstructing the childs learning at all. so why is there action taken?
I’m sorry but i am totally against this. I find it obscene and pathetic….

If I was that kids parent, I would have sued the school under freedom of expression. Find something better to do than worry about something that you can’t control. People have no nutz…I hate marking on skins and creepy hair cuts also…but we all have a right to express ourselves and expressing ourselves make us who we are. Everybody try to lock you in their paradox and in their strange world ..but we would not be where we are as humans if people in the past didn’t break thru and be themselves. I tell my son to be who you are and control what you can let everything else control itself (or themselves for this matter)..wish it would’ve been me…
