A criminal in Malawi, which is located in the southeast portion of Africa just south of Tanzania, is back in jail after serving a six-year sentence for burglary. His offense? He broke into a prison office a few days after being released in an attempt to steal guns and other equipment.
Franklin Gausi tried to steal two rifles, handcuffs, and a police radio after being released for a similar offense. He would have gotten away with it had he played it a bit smarter. Officers caught up to the man after trying to sell the stolen police radio. He led officers to the rest of the equipment after being arrested. Surprisingly, he hid the stuff in a cemetary.
He now faces another count of burglary. Perhaps they’ll lock him up in the same jail he ripped off. That would serve him right.
