In effort to appeal to the people who despise cussing, love education, and love hip hop (all 7 of them), Bill Cosby is currently working on a rap album titled “Cosby Narratives Vol.1: State of Emergency” that is tentatively scheduled for release next month. He says that he was tired of profane and degrading rap music, and wanted to create an album that really struck a chord with those who dislike modern hip-hop lyrics. The 70-year-old’s rap album will feature hip hop with pop and jazz influences, combined with the power of mysterious “guest appearances”. We have exclusive copies of partial lyrics after the jump!
Bill Cosby wants his album to be the opposite of most hip-hop. This is what he had to say about the subject matter of his album:
“The value of an education. The value of respecting one’s self and … giving (listeners) a chance to raise their self-esteem and confidence.”
To put it frankly, we don’t see this record storming up the charts. It’ll probably have as much success as the other Vanilla Ice albums, he did actually have more than one you know…
ITR has received an exclusive copy of some of his lyrics, and here they are in full glory for a song called “J-E-L-L-O”, a song about uplifting youth.
“J-E-L-L-O”
Chorus:
(woman singing) How does Bill spell Jello?
J-E-L-L-O
Just Educate, Live and Learn, Okay?
(kids singing) How does Bill spell Jello?
J-E-L-L-O
Just Educate, Live and Learn, Okay?
Kids minds are like jello,
all soft and mellow,
Kids with their hippy hopping,
cussing and cursin’ is what I’m stopping.
They say I love the pudding pop,
STOP.
Okay I do, that is true,
if you don’t, you’re a damn fool,
go back to school, get an education,
if we work together we’ll run the nation,
like a fast food station,
I love them burgers and shakes,
and delicious chicken bakes,
but first on my list good fellow,
is a nice plate of J-E-L-L-O.
Chorus (x2)
Guest: Jay-Z (possibly didn’t make the “cut”)
Yeah, H-O-V-A,
doin’ it the COSBY WAY,
Big old Bill teaching every day,
Kids better listen up to the doctor,
oh **** that was just on tv?
Well pardon me, Mr. H-O-V,
He’s still wise if a little senile
when he talks… (pause) it takes a while,
just look at him and nod and smile,
put that knowledge in a file.
Quality. Rap. Music.
