When trying to make a drug deal, make sure you know who you’re texting

April 18th, 2008 · 2 Comments

When Principal Jean Barker from Bishop Brady High School in New Hampshire confiscated a cell phone from a student, she never expected to be involved in a drug bust set up by herself. The bust involved a 17-year-old student from a neighboring high school and took place on school grounds. This teen is screwed.

The plan was set in motion after the principal received a text from John Huckins on a cell phone she had taken from a student. The test read, “Yo, you need a bag?” to which the principal replied “yeah dawg bring two. meet me behind my school”. Although reluctant at first, sending messages stating “that’s so sketchy” and “dude, I don’t like that”, greed got the better of Huckins and he agreed to meet his “friend” on school grounds. Once he said yes, Barker called police who were waiting for the teen’s arrival. Huckins was arrested with a quarter ounce of weed.

Huckins originally suspended for ten days for starting the deal on his cell phone while at school but later suspended him for the remainder of the school year. Huckins not got his lawyer, Mark, Howard, involved and is trying to claim the charges are not valid because the principal entrapped him. Yeah, that’s going to work.

In addition, he is claiming,

“he school district neglected to provide the written charges against him or inform him he could bring a lawyer to his suspension hearing.”

“If he has a long-term suspension on his record, that may very well lead to his colleges withdrawing their acceptance letters,” said Howard.

Look, if Huckins were really that interested in his future he never would have been conducting such shady business in the first place. Also, suspension is the least of his worries as the sale of the drugs is a felony. Huckins is being charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, which carries a sentence of up to seven years. Huckins lawyer should focus on getting him out of that problem before worrying about whether he’ll finish school. At this point, regardless of whether the suspension is shortened, there will still be a record of his suspension because of illegal activities. In terms of Huckins looking bad for colleges, yeah, he’s basically boned.

This is so messed up. So basically your average messed up teen (due to their parents both working, and not being there for them like our parents were / a re …which was never suppose to happen until…well the end of days) gets screwed for the rest of his life not only with a felony record, but rather with the horrible reality of him being repeatedly tortured worse than terrorists?? He will be raped! He will be punished several times daily for NO TRUE REASON!! I do NOT know him, but PRAY for his release!

And he is still a KID!!!!!!! We all make mistakes. Let us not punish him for the rest of his natural born life for anything….let alone this. The original reporter for this site or article is so one-sided, basically saying no matter the age, selling drugs is a felony. Therefore you deserve your ass raping “The PEN” sentance and that’s it.

These types are not murderers. They are not selling a drug of death!! No one has ever died from weed…period.

Waken up, as alcohol is much, much worse.

    Propagada befriend me no more,

As the truth shall be my future who*e!
