Until death (or a karate kick) do us part
Two newlyweds ended up in jail with charges of assault, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct after the two fought each other mere hours after their wedding. David W. Wielechowski and Christa Vattimo were married with a reception featuring 150 guests, but an argument started while trying to check into their room. Apparently David karate-kicked his drunk wife on the seventh floor of a Holiday Inn, and two guests who came to Christa’s aid were surprised to be attacked by her. Eventually the fight ended in the lobby, with the newlywed couple throwing metal planters at the two guests who tried to stop the original fight. The couple went from fighting each other, to fighting good Samaritans, to fighting a litany of small charges in little more than a few hours. At least the bride declined to issue a restraining order on her husband, this marriage is off to a good start!
