They aren’t Target employees, they are Chinese communists!
It took Qu Jianxiong 2 million yuan, nearly $300,000, and two years to build his sculpture “Fly,” which was supposed to be installed at a new airport terminal in Tianjin, China. Well days before the unveiling a senior governmental official said he disliked the color, and the sculpture was dismantled. The airport pleaded to media not to report the incident and journalists received gag orders but the incident still received coverage in an investigative report. Usually Chinese media is pretty compliant with the government, but maybe they were fans of the “Fly” installation. Speak against the government and risk retribution, hail the glories of communism!
