Tearful politician admits to sniffing chair of female staffer

May 2nd, 2008 · No Comments

A tearful Troy Buswell, opposition leader in Australia’s government, admitted publicly that he’s a freak. Actually, he admitted that he sniffed the chair of a female Liberal Party staffer, after he had repeatedly denied doing so for hours. The woman was horrified when Mr. Buswell sniffed the chair she had been sitting on, saying that she “was shocked and outraged,” as she obviously should be. This incident comes in the wake of another earlier in the year, in which Buswell admitted to snapping the bra strap of a female Labor party staffer. Buswell was called a “rough diamond with a robust sense of humour” by Deputy Liberal leader Kim Hames, obviously conflating the terms “rough diamond” and “sexist womanizer.”

Buswell stated that “these are difficult issues for me to deal with and they are very difficult issues for my family to deal with,” which is blatantly obvious. Fortunately for him, his wife is standing “by her man” and seems willing to wait while Mr. Buswell tries to fix his behavior. This behavior including getting on all fours in front of a female staffer, sniffing a chair of a female staffer, snapping the bra of a female staffer and a litany of sexist remarks. Apparently the Liberal Party just needs to keep its female staffers away from him!

The incident occurred in 2005, so we don’t really know why it was just revealed recently. It’s pretty humorous though! The public shaming is hopefully enough for Mr. Buswell, even though some have spoken of ousting Buswell for his stinky behavior.

We wonder how the Australian media first got “whiff” of this story.
