A traffic accident in Silverdale, WA took a different turn after the driver at fault drove away from the scene of the crime. At that point, the 23-year-old driver of the Ford Explorer led police on a short chase before eventually giving up and pulling to the side of the road. Thinking the guy decided to just give up, Washington State Patrol officers pulled up to the vehicle just as the man took out a weapon, a nail gun. The guy held it up to his chest and shot himself. What an overreaction. Luckily, the guy’s craziness was nothing compared to the effectiveness of the washer at the end of each nail.
The washer was able to stop the nail before penetrating enough to cause any major damage. Having missed all major organs, the man underwent surgery to remove the nail at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. His best friend was in the back seat of the SUV and was lucky enough to witness it all. The guy probably freaked out when he got in the accident, drove off, and realized he screwed himself over by driving off. Apparently death was better than being reprimanded for driving from the scene of a crash and evading arrest. Too bad he didn’t know how the darn thing worked and how dumb his plan was. We can’t imagine how the whole thing was for his friend in the back seat, first getting in the accident, being involved in a chase, and having it end with his friend trying to kill himself. Crazy day.
