Preparing for a good old-fashioned car-ba-que?
This is not how you get a party started. A man having a barbecue in southern Germany turned an average grill party into a $60,000 fiasco with a simple incindiery mistake. The man poured a beaker of fluid into the charcoal of his balcony grill in order to start the fire, and some flame shot out. A friend next to the grill panicked and dropped the petrol, which ignited and landed on the griller’s car below the balcony. The car went up in flames, two other vehicles were damaged, and police estimated that the grilling mistake caused 30,000 euros in damage or around $60,000. Shouldn’t have asked for his Honda well done. This is why you can’t grill on balconies in some areas.
