A family rushing to catch a flight in the Vancouver, BC airport accidentally left their 23-month-old boy behind, not even realizing the mistake until being contacted on the next leg of the trip. Jun Parreno was with his wife and two grandparents of the child when they found themselves rushing to a gate 10 minutes before boarding, everyone thinking someone else had the child with them. Nope, they accidentally left the little boy wandering between the security checkpoint and flight gates. On the flight they all had separate seats and still didn’t notice their error. Fortunately for the family, Air Canada went above and beyond in helping correct the mistake, doing a little detective work to find out who left the identification-less child, contacting the family, and paying for two additional flights to reunite the crazy bunch. I don’t care how rushed you are, how could you leave a child behind at an airport of all places?
