This is one of the strangest weapons we’ve heard of, besides hedgehogs at least. Willie Campbell will be in prison for at least the next 17-and-a-half years for using his saliva as a deadly weapon. He was being arrested for public intoxication in 2006 when the incident occurred. According to Dallas police officer Dan Waller, the man spat in his eye and mouth and told the officer that he had AIDS. The jury decided that the spit could be considered a dangerous weapon and gave Campbell his harsh punishment. What a scary moment, even if saliva can’t really transfer HIV (but if there is blood in the saliva that’s a different story). Apparently the man has a history of spitting and biting police officers and jail inmates, so hopefully he’s kept in a place where he can’t harm others!
