Canadian suing for a “small problem” in a bottle of water

Bottles of water

Today Canada will rule on whether or not a man who found a fly in his bottle of water deserves compensation for anxiety and depression. We bet he’ll lose. Martin Mustapha of Ontario claimed that he was forever scarred when he saw a fly in his bottle of water, in spite of the fact that he didn’t actually drink any of it. He’s now afraid of flies to such an extent that he can’t sleep and his sex life has suffered. Maybe women just aren’t attracted to a guy who is scared of a fly? He had previously won $341,000 in 2005, but that was overturned in a higher court. We doubt the highest court in Canada will go against that judgement, which is really the only rational one. We’ll try to find out the result later.
