We previously wrote about a stupid lawsuit from a Canadian man claiming extreme damage because he saw a fly in a bottle of water. The man saw two dead flies in an unopened bottle of drinking water, but never drank any of the water, and claimed that he had “suffered psychological damage, including depression, phobia, anxiety and damage to his sex life”. He had won $343,000 in a lower court, but just Thursday the Supreme Court of Canada officially found that Waddah Mustapha did not show that a “person of ordinary fortitude” would suffer the same injuries. Basically, they called him a wimp.
