Apparently if you want a posh prison experience, you should get jailed in Brazil. A convict in Brazil had his cell raided recently to crack down on drug trafficking, finding a plasma TV set, pistols, gym equipment, and cash worth $173,000 in his cell. Think there was some corruption going on? Brazilian authorities have ordered an investigation to figure out why Genilson Lins da Silva was living such a life of luxury in his jail cell, but our money is on bribes and drugs. He’s been moved now, and will probably serve the rest of his 28-year term in a less comfortable cell. We hope. To think, in America many complain when prisoners receive cable channels or other amenities, while inmates in Brazil can apparently do whatever they want (assuming they have the money and means of course).
