Recent advertisements in Philadelphia area newspapers showed ads for a new airline called “Derrie-Air”, an airline that charges passengers by the pound. The campaign was really just a clever advertising test of sorts, to see how effective advertising in the newspapers could be. The polished Derrie-Air website is convincing (until you reach the disclaimer at the bottom). The name is funny, but honestly an airline like this could have success in an age of rising fuel and flight costs. We aren’t sure what “carbon-neutral luxury” really is, but we are sure someone would pay a premium for it. Read more about Derrie-Air at their website. We wish it were reality, it could help combat obesity in America!
