Whoops! One Utah woman can sleep easy tonight after recovering nearly $200,000 she threw out with her trash on garbage collection day. How someone manages to accidentally throw out hundreds of thousands of dollars is beyond us, but then again, we’ve never had enough money for that to be an issue ;-). The woman (unidentified) actually threw away checks from work, and frantically asked the garbage truck driver for help after realizing her mistake. Provo’s waste management supervisor, Brad Rollins, arranged to have that specific load searched by the woman, her friends, and station employees. The woman found her money relatively quickly, but probably learned a lesson from it all. As for the garbage workers and supervisor, they should commended for helping out the poor woman (well not poor, obviously, since she’s carrying around thousands of dollars worth of checks but you know what we mean!).
